- Breathtaking, edgy and dramatic: Renowned Czech choreographer Jirí Kylián created the internationally praised Petite Mort especially for the Salzburg Festival in commemoration of the second centenary of Mozart´s death. The choreography presents six men, six women and six foils. The foils play the role of dancing partners and sometimes seem to be more rebellious and obstinate than a partner of flesh and blood.

- June 6: Butterfly Criterium
- The 2010 Butterfly Criterium, which is officially sanctioned by USA Cycling, will feature several race categories and a number of wonderful activities for families. Spectators will have an optimal view from almost anywhere along the route and the course will certainly be a challenge for competitors too. The race is sponsored by the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the City of Pacific Grove and is organized by Ghost Tree Racing, a central coast cycling club.

- Pebble Beach Golf Links was selected by the United States Golf Association (USGA) to host the 2010 U.S. Open – for the fifth time. Each of the Pebble Beach Opens was won by one of the game’s great players – Jack Nicklaus in 1972, Tom Watson in 1982, Tom Kite in 1992 and Tiger Woods in 2000. The Open, which was first conducted in 1895, is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the USGA. 2010 may sound like a long way off, but mark your calendar now for this exclusive event. Don’t miss a chance to see history in the making!
